Sati Mookherjee’s third collection, Deś, based on conversations with her Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani immigrant family and friends in their shared corner of the Pacific Northwest, is forthcoming from Tupelo Press (May 2027). Previous books are Eye (Ravenna Press, 2022). Her work appears widely in literary journals and anthologies including Best Spiritual Literature (2025), Poetry Northwest, Gulf Coast and DIAGRAM. Her collaborations with contemporary classical composers have been performed or recorded by ensembles (The Esoterics, Contemporary Chambers and Players) and solo musicians (Hope Wechkin, Leaning Toward the Fiddler). Nominated for six Pushcart Prizes, and the recipient of an Artist Trust/ Washington State Arts Commission Fellowship Award, Sati Mookherjee lives in the Pacific Northwest.
